The Eagles Mere Inn (part of Historic Hotels of America) is a warm and inviting 130-year-old historic inn nestled in the middle of the "last unspoiled resort" in Central Pennsylvania. Located in the center of the Eagles Mere Historic Village and adjacent to the iconic Eagles Mere Lake, the Inn was built in 1887 and most recently renovated in 2023. From June through October, the Eagles Mere Air Museum’s antique planes take to the skies. Every summer for a few weekends a year, this Village Green is bustling with vendors and their tents selling their handmade wares. Many thrill seekers come to Eagles Mere to partake in the traditional ice toboggan slide, a 100-year tradition, and a 60-mph ride down Lake Avenue out onto the middle of the frozen Eagles Mere Lake. Eagles Mere also offers numerous cross-country skiing trails including the Conservancy, around the Eagles Mere Lake and even a path that was formerly a railroad from Sonestown to Eagles Mere.
