The Eagles Mere Inn (part of Historic Hotels of America) is a warm and inviting 130-year-old historic inn nestled in the middle of the "last unspoiled resort" in Central Pennsylvania. Every summer for a few weekends a year, this Village Green is bustling with vendors and their tents selling their handmade wares. Folk music fills the air and the smell of fresh, hand-cut French fries wafts throughout the events. People come from all over Pennsylvania to see what's new or to say hello to some of their favorite artists. Events include: the Antiques Show, Arts and Crafts Fair, as well as the Water Carnival, a decades-old tradition of illuminated floats on the lake each August.

Many thrill seekers come to Eagles Mere to partake in the traditional ice toboggan slide, a 100-year tradition, and a 60-mph ride down Lake Avenue out onto the middle of the frozen Eagles Mere Lake. Eagles Mere also offers numerous cross-country skiing trails including the Conservancy, around the Eagles Mere Lake and even a path that was formerly a railroad from Sonestown to Eagles Mere.
